1.1. This Policy explains what data we collect when you use the ALTN Chat social network (the website https://altn.chat and the mobile apps, the "Service"). It also explains why we collect it, how we store and protect it, and what rights you have.
1.2. Data controller: Ai Chat Limited, a Private Company registered in the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), BIN 260740900511, address: Office 5, 50/3 Turan Avenue, Nura District, Astana, 010000 ("the Company", "we", "us").
1.3. Data processor: ALTN LLP, BIN 240240018167, address: Office 82, 2/5 Turkestanskaya Street, Shymkent. The processor provides technical operation, hosting and support of the Service on behalf of the Company and only for the purposes set out in this Policy.
1.4. We process data in accordance with the AIFC Data Protection Regulations and other applicable data protection laws.
2. What data we collect
Data you provide:
at registration: first name, last name (optional), username, email address, password (stored only in encrypted form);
in your profile: photo, bio and any other details you add;
Content: posts, articles, clips, comments, messages and attachments;
support requests and reports.
Data collected automatically:
technical data: IP address, device type and OS, app version, language, time zone;
usage data: activity in the Service, views, follows, communities, login times;
call data: time, duration, participants and connection quality;
cookies and similar technologies on the website (see section 8);
push notification tokens.
Data we do not collect: we do not ask for your bank card details directly. If paid features are introduced, payments will be handled by the App Store, Google Play or a payment provider, under their own rules.
3. Why we use your data
to register you, let you log in and run your account;
to provide features such as messaging, calls, communities, posts, feed and search;
for security: protection against hacking, spam and fraud, and age verification;
for moderation and handling reports;
for user support;
to improve the Service and produce aggregated analytics;
to send service notices about logins, changes to our terms and security;
for advertising and marketing messages, only with your consent where required;
to comply with the law and lawful requests from competent authorities.
4. Legal bases
We process data:
based on the consent you give at registration;
to perform the Terms of Service;
to comply with legal obligations;
for the Company's legitimate interests, such as keeping the Service secure and preventing abuse.
You can withdraw consent by writing to support@altn.chat. Without some data, such as your email address, your account cannot work.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data.
Data may be shared with:
ALTN LLP, for technical maintenance of the Service;
infrastructure providers for hosting, file storage, push notification delivery (Apple, Google), calling services, email delivery and analytics. They process data only on our instructions;
other users, to the extent you make it visible yourself: your profile, posts and messages to recipients;
public authorities, where required by law.
6. International transfers
Data may be processed in different countries where our servers and providers are located. In such cases we ensure the level of protection required by applicable law, including through contractual safeguards.
7. How long we keep data
account data and Content: for as long as your account exists;
after you delete your account, data is deleted or anonymised within 30 days. Data we must keep by law and backups are an exception: they are deleted on a scheduled basis;
technical logs: no longer than 12 months.
8. Cookies
The website uses cookies:
strictly necessary: for login and core functions; the website does not work without them;
functional: to remember your language and theme;
analytics and advertising: only with your consent.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some website features may stop working.
9. Data security
We use organisational and technical safeguards: encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), encrypted password storage, role-based staff access and access control to servers. No system on the internet is completely risk-free, but we take all reasonably necessary steps to protect your data.
10. Your rights
You have the right to:

correct inaccurate data;
delete your account and data, in settings or on request;
restrict or object to processing;
withdraw consent;
opt out of marketing messages;
lodge a complaint with the AIFC Commissioner of Data Protection.

11. Children
The Service is intended for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you learn that a child has registered, write to support@altn.chat and we will delete the account.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. The new version will be published on this page with its date. We will notify you of material changes in the Service or by email.
13. Governing law
This Policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Data protection matters are governed by the AIFC Data Protection Regulations.
